“I personally thought that the Community Engagement Project was the most valuable component for me. It pushed me to extents to make this project work. I took it as a challenge as the initial idea of this project was given a lot of feedback. We took that feedback and made the project succeed. This pushes us to take constructive feedback, to prove ideas and to create something of your own to make an impact.”

“I think the program really curated this in a way for the interns to feel that we have guidance, responsibilities, and companionship with our leaders. Even bouncing off work ideas, practicing the mock interviews, speaking with Robb on careers, and having a variety of meetings with the Aspire leaders, I felt very supported and felt that I could really learn from their professionalism, whether it be how to converse, think and share ideas, and even present on Zoom. The feedback provided was another key piece that I found very beneficial to my growth as I always used it as constructive criticism to learn and grow from.”

“The most valuable part of the portfolio and experientials was quite literally all of it. I was able to set goals for myself, make changes, and introduce myself to new habits at my own pace. It wasn’t set in stone and it felt very empowering to be able to make those big steps forward in my skills. I worked on my self-development, organization, and global awareness through the portfolio and I still use many of the experientials in my day-to-day life now. I feel like I got the most out of the reflections. It gave the whole portfolio a new light because it helped me realize my accomplishment, acknowledge problems I had, and the solutions I came up with.”
